Whole grain bread "Pizza"
Spread grape seed oil on bread add your favourite organic tomato sauce, garlic pd, sea salt, grated goat cheese. Toast it till golden brown, my kids love it.

Q: Are the enzymes destroyed in the process of drying fruit? What about the effect of drying on water and oxygen? Are rehydrated, dried fruits as good as fresh?
A: If fruits are sun-dried, their enzyme loss will be minimized, provided the fruit is not heated above 118 degrees F. If they are dried in a kiln or (forced air) drier, above 118 degrees F, the loss can be worse. Some dried fruit is preserved with sulfur dioxide - best to avoid that and get dried fruit with no preservatives.
The purpose of drying is to reduce the water content, and as water is a good vehicle for oxygen, oxygen levels may be reduced. Rehydrated fruits, by most criteria, are not as good as fresh. However they are an alternative to fresh when fresh is not available or too expensive. It is a good idea to rehydrate dried fruit, as it may cause gas if not rehydrated.

PURE RAW buckwheat honey
The darker the honey the more packed with vitamins and minerals. Get a jar from your local farmers market. Put honey in your tea, coffee or on your toast. When my kids have a sore throat and are coughing I give them a tablespoon of this honey it soothes their cough, instead of giving them artificial cough syrup.
The Queen bee makes Royal Jelly
I get it for $12. It's a tiny jar at my local farmers market, where ever you buy it make sure it is pure, eat a 1/4 teaspoon everyday and mix in into your night cream. I have a friend who mixes it with a little raw honey and sleeps with it on her face. I would do a small skin patch test before putting it all over your face if you have sensitive skin.

Humans are the only mammals that continue to drink milk
It seems that the general consensus is that milk is good for you. From supermodels to professional athletes with milk mustaches, "milk does a body good." But does it really?
No, it doesn't! Milk is not meant to be consumed once we have been weaned. But we have these millions of cows around producing milk so what else are we supposed to do with all this excess milk except to pawn it off on the unknowing consumer? Milk, was created for the sole purpose of providing a newborn with quick access to nourishment to help in its development until it is ready for solid foods. Once a baby has been weaned there is no further need for milk. In fact, in all mammals, once an infant has been weaned, the mother stops producing milk. The only case where this is not true is with dairy cows that are forced to provide milk. In fact, once a calf has been weaned, a cow will not drink milk! We don't see wolves in the wild drinking milk, nor squirrels, nor rabbits. In fact, humans are the only mammals that continue to drink milk after they have been weaned! And we don't even drink human milk! We drink the milk from a cow! How preposterous! Why cows? Because they are large animals, docile, and they can produce lots of milk.
We could just as easily be drinking dog's milk, or cat's milk, or rabbit's milk. Except that you'd need a lot of cats or rabbits to produce enough milk to pour over your cereal or to make a half-gallon of ice cream.
In fact, cow's milk isn't even close to human milk when it comes to ingredients. Human babies are unique in that they require large amounts of linoleic acid. Mother's milk contains large amounts of linoleic acid. It helps baby's brain grow and helps the baby develop. Mother's milk has six to ten times the amount of linoleic acid! And to make matters worse, skim milk from a cow has no linoleic acid! So much for giving your baby a head start!
There are also marked difference in the protein and mineral content of mother's milk vs. cow's milk. Cow's milk has much more protein than mother's milk. This is because a calf needs to grow into a cow! A human baby needs to grow into a toddler, not a cow! In fact, cow's milk has three to four times more protein than a human baby needs. Cow's milk also have five to seven times more minerals than mother's milk. Again, that little calf needs to grow into a healthy cow or steer. Our little babies only need to grow into little children, not big heifers!
So milk is not milk! Nature designed milk to be animal-specific. Cow's milk is perfect for a calf to grow into a cow; cat's milk is perfect for her little kittens; dog's milk is just right for puppies; and of course, mother's milk is perfectly designed for little babies.

In the old days, when grandma and grandpa lived on the farm, the milk they drank was far different from the chemical concoction we call milk today. In those days, cows roamed free on the farm, eating natural grasses, and drinking pure, clean water. The milk was collected once or twice a day, by hand. Some of the cream was skimmed off the top for butter (again made by hand), and the rest was consumed as whole, raw milk. It was generally consumed by the family and perhaps offered for sale to the neighbors.
Today, we have huge mechanized dairy factories where cows are methodically fed chemical-laced food, injected with anti-biotics and hormones and milked by machines. The milk is loaded into huge diesel trailers and trucked to large milk factories where the milk from thousands of cows is mixed, processed, packaged, and trucked again to a store near you.
What impact does this have on your health? Well, actually quite a lot. The milk we are told to consume today is not-nearly as nutritious as milk in the past. All those chemicals and toxins floating in the milk “soup” we find in our supermarkets today, is not the pure milk our ancestor drink.
Packaging is also another problem. In the past, milk was taken from the cow, immediately placed in clean glass bottles (bottles washed by hand by grandma using natural soaps) and refrigerated immediately in a dark refrigerator. Today, milk is collected into huge vats with wide variations in temperature, pumped into tanker trucks, driven for sometimes hours to the processing plant, and then finally separated and packaged.
The type of packaging is important as well. Just recently, scientists are discovering that plastic containers (or plastic milk jugs) are actually harmful to the milk and to the people who consume the milk stored in plastic! Not only do poisonous chemicals leach from the plastic into the milk, but plastic milk containers allow light to pass through. Light is a natural enemy of milk! The exposure to light can actually oxidize the milk in the jug. And the light damage is not only caused by sunlight, but also by the fluorescent lighting used in the refrigerated section of the grocery store.
Exposure to light causes the milk to taste bad and causes a degradation of the vitamins in the milk. In fact, exposure to as little of five to fifteen minutes of sunlight can degrade the quality of the milk. And paper cartons are not immune to this light-induced oxidation. If the light is intense enough, oxidation can even occur in paper milk cartons.

We’ve all heard the slogan, “milk, it does a body good” - but what kind of milk? While some milk is fine for some, many others, especially children are allergic or intolerant from their first drink. An estimated 30 million Americans have some kind of lactose (the milk sugar in all dairy products) intolerance, and more than 100,000 babies are thought to suffer from milk allergies.
Today many people are asking which milk is the best choice for their families and children. Food Allergies in Infants and Babies

Is your baby susceptible to bouts of unexplained itchiness that you thought were merely a phase or skin sensitivity? Is her nose sometimes stuffy or runny? Is she cranky for no apparent reason and is she trying to tell you something?
Is emitting large quantities of intestinal gas a regular affair for your infant? Is his tummy a little more bloated than other kids’ and does he struggle to pass even soft stool or diarrhea?
If the answer is ‘”yes” to most of these questions, read on. Your baby might be dealing with a food allergy.
First of all, don’t panic. It’s not as serious as it sounds. Food allergies are a common problem amongst babies and adults alike.
There are many possible reasons for food allergies. Your infant could be allergic to cow’s milk or your child could be having some problems dealing with solids when you’re trying to wean him/her. Here are some possible causes for food allergies:
· Introduction of allergenic solids in baby’s diet before four months of age
· Allergy towards cow’s milk
· Allergy towards other foods like dairy products, fish, nuts, or wheat
· Heredity
· Enzyme deficiency which causes lactose intolerance
· In rare cases, a serious undetected illness or condition
Although food allergies in most cases are merely a nuisance and not life-threatening, parents still need to know the type of food or food group to eliminate from their baby’s diet. By avoiding, rotating the diet and playing food detective, we can minimize the discomfort and symptoms of food allergies as much as possible.
First, try to eliminate the following products from your infant’s diet.
· Dairy products
· Soy
· Egg (or at least white of egg)
· Wheat
· Peanuts
· Tree nuts
· Citrus fruits
· All types of food additives (reduce introduction of canned, packaged or ready-to-eat food)v · Shellfish
If you’re not sure whether your baby is indeed suffering from a food allergy, observe your baby very closely and monitor his/her diet to see if she is experiencing any of the following allergic reactions:
· Rashes on face or other body parts that are red and scaly
· Hives
· Swollen hands and feet, puffy eyes
· Dark circles under the eyes
· Throat soreness and tongue
· Sneezing, running or stuffy nose
· Wheezing
· Persistent cough
· Ear infection
· Red and scaly rashes around the anus
· Abdominal discomfort
· Diarrhea or soft stool
· Poor weight gain
· Bloating of the stomach
· Gassiness
· Fatigue, headaches
· Irritability, moodiness, hyperactivity
· Sore muscles and joints
If you’ve determined that your infant is, indeed, suffering from a food allergy, try substituting some of the allergenic foods with non-allergenic foods like apples, apricots, barley, beets, grapes, cranberries, mangoes and oats.
Other non-allergenic foods include asparagus, carrots, cauliflower, chicken, broccoli, lettuce, rice, safflower oil, salmon, sweet potatoes, rye and honey.
Food allergies, as mentioned earlier, are quite common among infants and can be dealt with easily. The most important thing is for us to detect them, minimize reaction and symptoms, get advice from a professional and eliminate the allergies’ immediate causes.

After fat and casein are removed from milk, dairy processors are left with whey protein. Whey is composed of bovine blood proteins. Serum albumen. Lactalbumen. Dead white blood cells. Hormonal residues including estrogen and progesterone.
The body’s reaction to a foreign protein is to destroy that antigen-like invader with an antibody. For those individuals unfortunate enough to possess a genetic pre-disposition to such an event, the antibody then turns upon one’s own cells. That is what is known as an auto-immune response.
In the case of diabetes and Multiple Sclerosis (MS), the body’s response to whey proteins is to attack the outer membrane protecting nerve cells, or the myelin sheath.
It has long been established that early exposure to bovine proteins is a trigger for insulin dependent diabetes mellitus. Researchers have made that same milk consumption connection to MS. The July 30, 1992 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine first reported the diabetes autoimmune response milk connection:
“Patients with insulin dependent diabetes mellitus produce antibodies to cow milk proteins that participate in the development of islet dysfunction… Taken as a whole, our findings suggest that an active response in patients with IDDM (to the bovine protein) is a feature of the auto-immune response.”
On December 14, 1996, The Lancet revealed:
“Cow’s milk proteins are unique in one respect: in industrialized countries they are the first foreign proteins entering the infant gut, since most formulations for babies are cow milk-based. The first pilot stage of our IDD prevention study found that oral exposure to dairy milk proteins in infancy resulted in both cellular and immune response…this suggests the possible importance of the gut immune system to the pathogenesis of IDD.”
THE MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS/MILK CONNECTION
The April 1, 2001 issue of the Journal of Immunology contained a study linking MS to milk consumption.
Michael Dosch, M.D., and his team of researchers determined that multiple sclerosis and type I (juvenile) diabetes mellitus are far more closely linked than previously thought. Dosch attributes exposure to cow milk protein as a risk factor in the development of both diseases for people who are genetically susceptible. According to Dosch:
“We found that immunologically, type I diabetes and multiple sclerosis are almost the same - in a test tube you can barely tell the two diseases apart. We found that the autoimmunity was not specific to the organ system affected by the disease. Previously it was thought that in MS autoimmunity would develop in the central nervous system, and in diabetes it would only be found in the pancreas. We found that both tissues are targeted in each disease.”
MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
Multiple sclerosis affects approximately 300,000 Americans. Two-thirds of those diagnosed with MS are women. Most researchers believe that MS is an autoimmune disease. Auto means “self.”
WHO DOES NOT GET MS?
It is interesting to note that Eskimos and Bantus (50 million individuals living in East Africa) rarely get MS. Neither do those native North and South American Indian or Asian populations who consume no cow’s milk or dairy products.
WHO GETS MS?
The British medical journal Lancet reported that dairy-rich diets filled have been closely linked to the development of MS. (The Lancet 1974;2:1061)
A study published in the journal Neuroepidemiology revealed an association between eating dairy foods and an increased prevalence of MS. (Neuroepidemiology 1992;11:304Â12.)
MS researcher, Luther Lindner, M.D., a pathologist at Texas A & M University College of Medicine, wrote:
“It might be prudent to limit the intake of milk and milk products.”
Women are targeted by dairy industry scare tactics that offer misinformation regarding osteoporosis. Two-thirds of MS victims are women. As milk and cheese consumption increase along population lines, so too does an epidemic number of MS cases. The numbers add up. The clues add up. The science supports epidemiological studies.
