Vegan cheese sauce by PURE MAMAS

I made it yesterday before work, it was sooo easy. The kids ate it for dinner with whole grain noodles, YUM.
Thanks Juli

PURE MAMAS Cheese Recipe {easy amounts to remember}

1.5 red bell pepper

1.5 Tbls nutritional yeast

1.5 lemons, juiced

1.5 cups soaked cashews 1.5 Tbls miso

1 heaping tsp sea salt {or to taste}

Add all to a Vitamix. I would suggest you soak the cashews first, for an hour. If you don't do this, you might want to add like a tablespoon or more of water to mixture so it blends well. Blend in Vitmix until super duper smooth {no chunks or any funky texture, should look like yogurt}!

  1. Hi Lisa!
    I am in love with your blog and am so inspired!
    I have a couple of quick questions. I notice you shop at Trader Joes as well. We live in Seattle...It can be challenging because I live with my sweetie, to have him buy / eat organic, etc. He does alot of the dinner cooking. He loves TJ's and loves alot of their hearty pre packaged meals ie: Risotto with asparagus, orange chicken, etc. (I don't want to be high maintenance, so I usually go along with it, while I usually buy organic everything) I have noticed that I don't feel as energized and I look more tired and my skin shows everything. I would love any TJ's favorites of yours, (And then do you supplement with organic produce, etc. from a farmer's market or co-op, etc.?) I am almost 38, love the feeling of having more energy, looking youthful, glowy etc....just need tips for shopping with my partner. I have always wished that I could live on chips and salsa and a salted margarita! ;) But after reading your blog, I KNOW that diet IS everything for how we look and feel! We are watching some food and tapped H2O documentaries...and I am challenging myself to not drinking from plastic bottles, as I do drink FIJI everyday. Thanks so much for any thoughts / advise! I am so glad to have found this blog and to feel the inspiration! XX Gina
